Thank you to all who replied to our annual parental survey which was completed in May 2024. We are delighted that 100% of our responses showed what is valued in our school. You have received a letter (see letter page on website) detailing the outcomes from this survey. Below is a summary of the key points.

- 100% of families shared that they have always been able to speak with somebody about their queries.
- No families are unhappy with the quality of education that they receive.
- 97% of families feel involved in the school community.
- 97% of families believe that bullying is either not a concern or that the school has dealt with this well.
- Behaviour is rated as 4/5 in school.
- 76% of families are confident that the school has high expectations of their child.
- 72% of families are now engaging with our home learning on the RKE sheets.
We seek to nurture an excellent relationship with the parents and carers of every child in the school. We know that parents want school to be a place where they feel welcomed and where any issues will be promptly and effectively addressed.
Our senior leadership team hold 'open forums' where you can meet with them informally in a group situation to discuss things that are happening in school - these take place at least half-termly - dates can be found in the school calendar. We value your dialogue and ask that you make an appointment if there is any aspect of school life or concern that you have so that we can answer your queries and resolve any concerns swiftly. Teachers are available at the end of the school day to answer any day to day enquiries you may have.
Communication between home and school is maintained in a variety of ways. We send texts and emails using Arbor to keep parents up-to-date and to distribute letters. All letters are sent home via email and, when a reply is required, in paper copy via your child's book bag. We hold parent consultation events in both the Autumn and Spring terms and finalise the year with an end of year report sent home in the final weeks of the Summer term. Throughout the year we also hold Parent Forums and workshops aimed at helping you to support your child at home with their learning and homework.
Every week, we also issue a whole school newsletter with information about the past week’s events and what is coming up in the near future. The newsletter is distributed electronically by Arbor. It is also put on our Facebook page and in the Newsletters page of the website. Paper copies are available from the school office upon request.
Parent volunteers are welcomed in many capacities whether that be reading with the children, accompanying them on school trips or leading enrichment activities. If you would like to help please contact the school office. Please note that all volunteers must have completed a full DBS check prior to volunteering at school.
