Rother Valley Schools and feeder secondary schools
Fernhurst Primary School is one of seventeen rural primary schools within the Rother Valley. This covers 450 square miles of beautiful, rural Sussex and creates an outstanding learning environment within which to educate your child. The River Rother rises in Hampshire, flowing east through West Sussex to join the River Arun at Stopham. The Rother Valley schools are dotted along its course.
The Rother Valley schools work closely together and their headteachers meet regularly. As well as working closely together, the Rother Valley schools have strong links with Midhurst Rother College (MRC). Rother Valley schools and their families also have access to the Rother Valley Inclusion Hub, please click here for further information.
Life after Fernhurst Primary School
Our children are lucky enough to have access to three secondary schools all within reachable distance of Fernhurst. We work closely with all three to ensure a positive transition to KS3 through events, visits from their staff teams and clear communication of the needs of the children so that they can aim to get the provision right from day one.
Midhurst Rother College is part of the Rother Valley group of schools and an academy school working with United Learning. The school's ethos centres around respect, happiness and achievement. They work very closely with primary schools in the locality and have great links for transition when children move from primary to secondary school. They serve pupils from 11-18 and are based in Midhurst.
Bohunt Academy is part of the Bohunt Academy and is part of a Teaching School Alliance. They serve students from 11 – 18 years of age and are based in Liphook.
